Meet Doug Perkins - Project Director

Doug is Community Offshore Wind’s Project Director His team is responsible for Community Offshore Wind’s Federal, State and Local Permitting, Marine Affairs, and Local Community Engagement.  His team’s mission is to ensure an early, open and ongoing dialogue with all stakeholders, and most importantly, that the knowledge, expertise, interests and concerns of all stakeholders are heard, understood, and translated into a fair and balanced project design.

Doug has over 11 years’ experience in renewable energy development, with his last five years focused on offshore development in the US Northeast.  Doug has a BA in Environmental Science from Boston University with a concentration in Coastal Ecology, and, as a native Long Islander, he is very happy to share his thoughts on the best pizza, bagels, or beach
